This portfolio is a curæted exhibit on Ivette's process of being inspired to live a life that reflects the love of Christ.

The Artist
Ivette is currently a Ph.D. Student at Erikson Institute studying Child Development and works as a professional development facilitator for bilingual Kindergarten teachers across Illinois. She has taught Pre-kindergarten as well as adult workshops to Spanish-speaking parents as a Parent Resource Teacher. She currently leads the social emotional support team at an elementary school and strives to create school environments that are focused on meeting student and staff social-emotional needs.

"This work is living art. Making art frees my mind and allows me to make sense of my thoughts and feelings. My art expresses my emotions in their "truest" and most "raw" form. I create my art to express the images that are inspired by my journey to chase after God and the hope and peace that His peace in nature brings to my life. My portfolio documents the growth I've made as I walk and reflect on my life. My hope is that my work inspires reflection, growth and action for you as well.
